To ensure the best burn for your Bird and Bee soy candle, you should follow these steps:
Each burn should last long enough for the melt pool to reach the outer edges of the jar (at least 2-3 hours minimum) this is important so that the candle burns evenly, and does not burn a tunnel or crater down the middle.
TRIM THE WICK
After your first burn, trim the burnt wick to around 5mm in length (with either scissors or a wick trimmer) If the wick is not trimmed it may produce smoke and burn at a faster rate.
Each candle is lovingly hand poured, and therefore will have a unique appearance! Your candle may produce a little smoke around the top of the canister, if this happens simply wipe clean with a damp sponge when cool.
REFILL OR REUSE YOUR CANISTER
Housed in a stylish glass containers with wooden lids, Bird and Bee Candles can be refilled via our refill service or reused in a variety of ways! Simply rinse in warm soapy water to remove any left over wax and the wick.
It is important to never leave a burning candle unattended.
